At the school we were really nicely welcomed. Everyone was incredibly nice and interested in knowing about School at Sea. The focus from many students and teachers was also making us feel welcome, which felt amazing. The school, the routine, the students, felt familiar. Made me think of my life at home, of myself and of the huge change that is happening. With students, we played sports for a few hours and got to meet some of amazing people at school throughout different activities. They had prepared an amazing breakfast for us, with some traditional Canarian food! Everyone was extremely happy with it and we all enjoyed with great pleasure. Afterwards, some workshops started. Painting, telling stories, mimics, general games… It was a great time, creative people and a very welcoming environment and atmosphere. Several students from the school invited sassers to have lunch at their houses, or in a restaurant, in between activities in school and in the ship. I went with one girl from the ship to have lunch with two students. They were really nice, the lunch was fantastic and everyone kept making sure we felt home. The food, the house, the people, it was all great! The afternoon in the ship was also amazing. The organizing team did a real great job. Games, tours, climbing the mast, watching a small movie, talking, getting to know everyone… Everything was fantastic! In the barbecue, during dinner and after dinner we talked a lot with different people. I met some students truly interested in the project! Getting to know different people, from a different country and with different lives. This is what I loved the most about this day.
